But from my perspective, the hackers released the photos so they could see attractive nude women. They wanted to be the one to release them and be thought of as a God. I think the slut shaming was an afterthought and just happened to be a result. Of course people are going to shame them out of insecurity or feeling entitled to see them since the picture were taken in a sexual manner. I definitely think there is a great disrespect for women in our culture. Many (I’m guessing insecure) man just feel they are entitled to think badly of women because of certain behaviors. There’s really not a lot of sympathy from too many people. I think it should surprise no one that people take pictures of themselves in various stages of nudity and send it to people they’re dating. And men do it too. I’m sure most women have been offered pictures of males’ anatomy, even men they don’t particularly like. But I think the only way to combat this rampant disrespect for women is parents with small children making an effort to instill it into kids young. But it begs the question of how many adults share these values?
