Every women knows a good man is hard to find, but a good deal is even harder. And no matter what your budget when you can find a product that is accessible, inexpensive, and actually works, well, you’ve struck gold!
Tis the season to be traveling home for the holidays and although air travel is amazing, it can wreak havoc on your beautiful skin. So for this post I have picked my favorite rehydrating essentials that you can take along with you and use to freshen up before getting of the plane in your home town… You know, in case you run into that old flame at the airport.
Here are my top three picks for this months top drugstore finds:
Refresh Plus Lubricant Eye Drops, Single Use
These little guys were introduced to me by makeup artist Jo Baker on a recent shoot in Panama. When I showed up to set with blood-shot eyes from the plane drying them out she had these on hand and they worked like a charm. If you find yourself getting bloodshot eyes from air travel these are a quick fix and because they come in single use tubes you can easily fit them into a TSA approved ziplock bag. Each box comes with 50 tubes and goes for around $15.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
Dry skin comes along with dry weather, and let’s be honest, dry skin isn’t sexy. My secret weapon for combatting scaly skin while traveling is Aquaphor Healing Ointment. Aquaphor is liking killing lots of birds with one stone. Slather Aquaphor on your lips to prevent them from cracking. Use it on hands, elbows, knees as a lotion. Also one of my favorite things to use it for is slathering it on my feet and wearing cozy socks, it leaves my soles feeling baby soft. The best thing is it comes in travel size! So you can save even more room in that lovely ziplock bag in your carry-on.
Evian Spray Brumisateur Mineral Water
Noticing a theme yet? Staying hydrated on the inside is muy importante while traveling, but staying hydrated on the outside is also a key part of looking fresh when you arrive at your destination. I love using my down time on flights to primp myself and this Evian spray is always a favorite part of my mid flight routine. If you are free to move around the cabin take it along with you in the lavatory (this way your seat mate wont get misted and miffed) and after you apply your moisturizer spritz it on top! And of course, this product also comes in travel size.
Some of my other stay-healthy-and-beautiful tips for traveling are:
Drink plenty of water
Avoid salty snacks that can cause bloating
Get as much sleep as possible
