POLL: Body Love

POLL: Body Love

BY The Conversation Team

We all fixate on what’s wrong with our bodies from time to time. TV Shows, magazines, advertisements and pop culture at large all tend to feed on female insecurities. Women’s magazines in particular are full of articles urging us to lose weight and change our appearances to attain, for example, the perfect marriage, great sex and a rewarding career – the perfect life, in essence. But do we know better? Vote from the suggestions listed in the poll or tell us about your own relationship with your body in the comments section below.

How do you feel about your body?

  • Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re working with? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S My apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!

  • I like to surf around the internet, often I will go to Digg and read and check stuff out…

  • Cungmua.com, Muachung.com, Runhau.vn, Nhanhmua.com, Deal.zing.vn, Hotdeal.vn

I might not be put on the cover of a magazine but I am fit and strong. My body bikes and hikes for miles, stretches and holds poses strongly in yoga, and keeps surprising me.

I had to have a bilateral capsulectomy last year because my 23 years old implants had ruptured, as did the capsules my body had created around them, and pieces of silicone had begun to leak out and embedded themselves all over in my breast tissue, causing an inflammatory reaction. The recovery was miserable to put it lightly. Now my little deflated balloon breasts are disfigured (distorted and asymmetrical) as far as I am concerned. I have decided not to have new implants because of the increased potential for negative reactions, I am unhappy, and I have gained weight – making my overall figure less appealing… Am I depressed? Yes, I would say that I am! UGH!!!
And I don’t know where to turn to for group support about this situation.
