    When I get home from a long day at work all I want to do is relax and watch everything on my DVR. But family comes first and I find that when I let the kids stay up a little bit later so that we can spend the extra time together we ALL feel better. Even if it means I can’t catch up on tv or read a book, the payoff is better.

    What kept me balanced a few months ago, after I learned my cousin was terminally ill was my former colleagues that supported and motivated me. Thank you!

  • Routine helps immensely, when my structure gets lost it seems to let everything fall apart. This is why its important for me to be involve constantly in some kind of service work. People may die on you, and jobs will be lost, but there will always be some kind of service work that will need to be done with gratitude included.

    Yoga – in both sense of the word balance. I’ve just returned to it after 3 years off – I lost the rhythm of attending classes when my daughter was born – and am amazed by how it makes me feel, mentally and physically. I don’t want to go a week without it ever again…being more centred makes me a better parent, worker and person
