WHITNEY CUMMINGS: TAKING A STANCE

Whitney Cummings

Amanda recently sat down with producer, writer, and comedian, Whitney Cummings for a fantastic conversation about Whitney’s early days as a stand-up comedian and her need to continually work. Whitney also talks about:

-Where she feels most at home and authentic.

-What she finds most terrifying.

-Whitney’s thoughts on the need to get married.

-Why she has to stay vigilant in the work place.

-And what advice Whitney would give her 14-year old self.

Here’s what we would like to hear from you:

-Is there one thing that you have an unwavering stance on?

– Do you think its necessary to get married?

– Where is one place that makes you feel totally at ease and authentic?

– What did you find most interesting about Whitney?

  • so empowering for all of us 🙂

  • Man, I am SOO in love with this show. This has now become part of my Sabbath routine! 🙂 I observe the Sabbath every Saturday and I just focus on replenishing my soul-no work, nothing that can distract me from focusing on feeding my spiritual self and this show has become my immediate go-to each week for spiritual replenishment. 🙂 Thank you for this! I’ll even watch the same episode over and over again! 🙂 lol I always glean something new from it! 🙂 THANK YOU for this!

Ok so now to answer the questions! 🙂 yay!
Right now, I’m in a growing place and so there are so many areas of my life that I am reevaluating so it’s hard for me to see where I have a particular “stance” on something. I think the only thing I am REALLY sure of is practicing love, no judgment, and equality for everyone. Those things are sooo vital to my being and I think it should be vital for the growth of others as well. 🙂
Concerning marriage, you know, I don’t know. I grew up in a very religious household and so marriage is definitely encouraged. However, now as an adult, I am working on my definition of marriage because I see divorce sooo prevalent both inside the church and outside of it. I don’t really attend church as much anymore as I used to but I just…am deciding for myself what marriage means to me. I like marriage because it is a HUGE show of your love and commitment to one person though so that does draw me in but I don’t know…I’m evaluating all of that. 🙂 lol
And I feel most authentic when I am creating and sharing my talents or thoughts with others. I LOVE to share experiences with others and I think that’s when I feel like I am at my happiest and my most authentic. When I am not afraid to be truly vulnerable and show you what’s inside of me, I love doing that. 🙂
