10.24.13 Truth & Wisdom
This morning I am rushing around, getting my kids to their play dates and finishing my packing for a big trip to the UK. Being a mother who occasionally travels for work, it is always a bittersweet feeling. Knowing I will get to sleep in a bed without kids, but knowing I will also miss sleeping in a bed with my kids! My cat is sitting on top of my luggage and looks like he’s saying “take me with you!”
I am going to London to launch The Conversation in the UK . Lifetime is coming to England and is airing the first series of the show as well as the special UK episode I JUST finished 2 days ago, where I interviewed three insightful and authentic ladies: Rita Ora, Caitlin Moran, and Rosie Huntington Whitley. As always, the conversations are sincere, honest, and inspiring, each in their own special way .
It is a big deal for me to share The Conversation with the women in the UK . As some of you know, I had a very troubled childhood and early teen life when I lived in London and knew I couldn’t be the woman I wanted to be if I’d stayed there. I fled the UK and the scrutiny of the notoriously vicious British press when I was 21 and have never really spent time there since .
I will be sharing my week with you via my Instagram and updates on the web site. If you happen to live in London and want to join me for a live chat about The Conversation, I will be at the Apple Store on Regent Street Oct 31st @ 7pm please book as it’s limited seating.
Come in your Halloween costume if you want!
I look forward to meeting some of you face to face .
